It started as punishment. Growing up, whenever I got in trouble, my father would send me to his workshop. "You want to act like you don't care? Fine. Go sand that door until it's smooth as glass," he'd say. I hated it at first — the sawdust, the repetitive motion, the quiet.

But somewhere between those hours of sanding and staining, something changed. I began to see what he saw: the beauty hidden beneath years of wear, the satisfaction of bringing something broken back to life. Each door told a story, and I was learning to honor it.

Twenty years later, what started as punishment has become my passion. With over 20 years of experience perfecting this craft, Grand Doors isn't just a business — it's a tribute to my father's patience and the lessons he taught me. Every door we restore carries that same care and respect he showed me in his workshop.
